Tessa Baker Art

I live in the warm and dreamy land of Provence where throughout the year I can paint outside using watercolours and pastels. My open-air paintings are the most figurative. It is not until I am in my studio that the figurative becomes abstract. I enjoy the process of finding the abstract within the figurative, often creating a semi-abstract painting. I work in mixed media until I find an outcome that I am happy with, and this usually determines which media should be used to complete the work; It could be oil on linen, acrylic on linen, ink with airbrush or a huge watercolour. It is all a voyage of discovery.
